Gorillas and the Southwest
Entebbe, Kihihi or Kisoro, Bwindi
Fly from Entebbe into Kihihi or Kisoro, the two airstrips that serve Bwindi, and drive straight into the forest. A welcome team meet and greet sets the tone for the evening, with a short cultural performance from the local community.
Gorilla trekking takes the following morning. In the afternoon, the group visits a Batwa community to learn how the forest's original inhabitants lived before the park existed, a conversation that tends to land harder with a corporate group than any brochure could. A coffee farm visit follows, with the same all included approach: growing, roasting, tasting.
The last stretch moves to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise across the islands and a wellness afternoon: spa time, quiet, and space to reflect before the group heads back out through Kihihi or Kisoro.
