Mount Elgon and the Sipi Route

Entebbe, Jinja, Mbale, Sipi Falls

Drive from Entebbe through Jinja to Mbale, then up onto the slopes of Mount Elgon at Sipi. It is a longer transfer, so the day is kept light, with a team meet and greet dinner at the lodge overlooking the valley.

The next day is built around coffee: a full, hands on visit to a Bugisu Arabica farm, from picking to roasting to tasting, all included. In the afternoon the group joins a community session in a nearby Sabiny or Bagisu village for a cultural exchange, including a traditional performance.

A guided walk to the Sipi waterfalls follows, with time for birdlife and small wildlife on the forest edge of Mount Elgon. The trip closes with a wellness afternoon at the lodge, taking in the valley views before a final team debrief and the drive back to Entebbe.
